Dandelion Colombo is a womenswear label built slowly, by hand, from Colombo — not launched, but grown.
2019
The beginning
Dandelion started in 2019 under Creative Director Nethmini Dasanayake, in the years right after school — small, independent, and figuring itself out one piece at a time.
2020
A different kind of making
When COVID-19 reached Sri Lanka, the studio paused clothing and turned to producing masks instead — the same hands, the same close attention, redirected to what was needed most.
The return
Back to clothing, with more to say
Dandelion returned to clothing shaped by a design education at the University of Moratuwa and by everything the mask years taught about making things people actually need. Every collection since has stayed close to that: real fit, real fabric, real Colombo days.
Where we’re going
Still independent, still designed and made around Colombo, still built collection by collection rather than trend by trend.
